KAYLIN

Meet Our That Girl Junior Ambassador Vice President, Kaylin Lee!

Kaylin affectionately known as 'Rosie' is whom we would call an EXEMPLARY student and young lady! She is also our first recipient of our “Being That Girl” Get Her There initiative (#getherthere).

.

Kaylin is currently attending her freshman year at Wayne State University. Being a 2020 High School Covid19 Senior brought many challenges to Kaylin including the loss of loved ones. Unfortunately, she was unable to celebrate her life long history of being an exemplary student.  As a Senior, she has received awards for Perfect Attendance, Honor Roll, Citizenship, Deca, and more. Kaylin is pursuing a Masters Degree in Nursing with a minor in Psychology. Eventually, Kaylin would like to earn a Doctorate in Nursing. Her ultimate goal is to open a Daycare Center to be able to utilize her nursing skills within her business &  inner-city community.

Kaylin is a National Honors Society (NHS) Member alongside our Founder, Natasha Lee. Kaylin is involved in community projects that promote change in her peers. Her passion is to own a local daycare steamed from volunteering with children over the years.  In her spare time, she also volunteers regularly at Sunshine Community Thrift Store.

When Rosie was asked, who is your biggest influence? she quickly responded, "MY FAMILY."  She continued, "My family encourages me to put my best foot forward and to never settle for limitations set by the world. I know that being a black young lady could make it hard to thrive in some areas, but with the help of my God and Family I know I can exceed all boundaries." Lastly, Kaylin has recognized at a young age, the importance of legacy building and generational wealth. She would like to make sure that she & her family are financially secure.

Due to Covid19 Kaylin was stripped from scholarship and grant opportunities to help her pay for her college cost. Now she is being forced to pay out of pocket college expenses. In short, Kaylin has been an Honor Roll Student in her entire school history! Can we say WOW!

Let's show our appreciation for our future, for her resilience and excellence! HELP US, HELP KAYLIN GET THERE!
