Stand In Your Purpose is a four-part series that I designed to help women 4 define and stand in their purpose through networking and interactive sessions collectively. That Girl (Detroit location) initiated the first installment at the Genesis Therapeutic Massage located in the heart of the Midtown Detroit. The event provided a setting and opportunity for women to meet other women who are just like themselves when it comes to business and learning how to embody success. The first installment of the 4-part series was “Wellness”, which featured over 150 years of experience from individual female speakers that would help women identify and understand their purpose! The speaker as follows began with Theresa O’Bryant, co-owner of Genesis Therapeutic Massage, who opened with a powerful presentation exemplifying the 6 Keys to Wellness. To follow Theresa, was Barbara Pugh delivering a message on self-empowerment, encouraging women to practice daily affirmations. Thirdly, was Dr. Jan Cardwell, President of the University of Phoenix, who gave a personal message describing “life is a game of hopscotch” in her compelling analogy. And to close out the session was Dr. Sabrina Jackson, who provided an interactive role-playing session with participants, encouraging women to envision their success. That Girl sole-purpose and mission is to empower, support and uplift women through fashion, media outlets and education through events such as these! All walks of life are welcomed to explore and embark on this experience which will continue (date to be determined).
